Teaching law is a performing art as well as a transcendental science, which requires good meditation and contemplation. A V Dicey opined that the law can never be taught; it can only be learned. That way, a teacher in law is a learner in perpetuity.
Scholars may come and scholars may go, but the teacher remains like a lighthouse emitting rays of wisdom all around. Every student engaged by a good teacher is an object of observation, understanding and study. So the teacher learns with the scholars in a concomitant process.
