Conferred with Doctorate in Law

- Date: 1999–2000
- Awarded By Cochin University of Science and Technology
- Topic/Area: Inherent Powers of High Courts
My research programme at the Cochin University of Science and Technology from 1993 – 1999. During this period I had been practising in the High Court of Kerala and also teaching as a part time lecturer. Research opened before me a wide world of knowledge, values, philosophy, theory and the multifarious aspects of seeking knowledge . My subject ‘ Inherent Powers of the High Court’ prompted me to travel far and wide in the realm of jurisprudence of Inherent Powers. I felt like William Wordsworth who sang , “ Bliss was in that dawn to be alive, and to be young was very heaven.” Contesting election to Bar Council is a unique experience . One gets the opportunity to meet different lawyers of different Court Centres and established bonding of friendship .
